When I read One hundred years of solitude by
Gabriel García Marquez, I knew that I must to visit Colombia, because it is the
country most similar to Macondo. I think this a place full of magic, tastes,
colors, dance, music and other things like those. And I believe it represent
the best of Latin American continent.
But as far as I know this country is dangerous
by drug trafficking, and the kidnappings happen in daylight. And it afraid me a
little, but I would travel anyway when I have enough money.
If I travel there I would go to the beaches, the
principal centers like Bogotá, the navigable rivers and of course I’d go to
Aracataca, the native city of García Marquez, because the people say that this
is similar to Macondo, although I think I only can find it in the novel,
Aracataca would be great to know. I would like to travel in some holidays with
my friends and stay there at least a month.
